I wanted to let you know that the date for BlogTalk 2009 has been delayed by two weeks so that we can align with some scheduling changes in the Lift series of events. The conference will now be held on the 15th and 16th of September.

Happily this means that we have also extended the Call for Proposals deadline by two weeks, so you will note the new dates on the Call for Proposals page.

Hey John,
Wow! Did you record the talk? That's the most comprehensive summary I've read of our talk.
Just one correction, we didn't create Freshbooks, we just use it.

Regards,
Des

In terms of freebies, IQcontent had little bags of sweets which seemed to be handed out at the end. I can agree with you though, for the 175 Euros I paid I might have expected at least free tea and coffee.

Couldn't fault the talks though, and everything ran on time. :)

Have to agree on the food and drink issue. Nothing provided for in that regard and adding insult to injury -- the prepacked sandwichs which were on offer behind the bar in Liberty Hall were going for €5, along with bottles of water for €2.30... served up by a couple of staff members who looked as though they'd really prefer to be someplace else.

As you mentioned on the wi-fi issue, perhaps the organisers (Carsonified) were simply told that food and drink would be made available?

I nipped out to the shop for my food and drink but couldn't help feel sorry for those that came from elsewhere and might not have known better. "Welcome to Dublin" indeed.

But, that aside, it was a great day and I'll be back again next year without question.

Yeah, the speakers were great but the venue wasn't. I left at the afternoon break to get some (much needed) fresh air and decided to stay away. Pity, it would have been a fantastic conference if they'd gone somewhere decent. V. little networking oppurtunities too.
