Redesign of adverts.ie / Net Visionary 2006 nomination

I’m back again after over a week offline (2.5% downtime, no laptop and no internet cafes!) – we spent the last week in Bournemouth, a nice sunny coastal resort in the UK that rings of Florida.

Before I left, I revamped the design at adverts.ie – so far it has met with very positive feedback. Still have a few things to fix: reduce the real estate being used up top, fix some RSS feed bugs, etc.

In related news, I’ve been nominated in the Online Trader category of the Irish Internet Association’s Net Visionary awards for 2006. I’m delighted to be nominated for the second year running and if you want to support me, I won’t say no! You can vote here:

before Monday, 30th October 2006. There are lots of names from the Irish blogosphere in there too: Tom Raftery (three categories), Bernie Goldbach (three as well), Michele Neylon (two categories), and Conn O Muineachain (best podcaster). Thanks for your support!

  1. So glad to see you back. Much has happened since you left.

A great relief has overcome me…

  2. Damnit John, I read your blog *after* the deadline for voting… d’oh. Best of luck.

  3. Turns out the date has been changed from the 23rd to the 30th 🙂
